Job Description Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead High Voltage Products and Power Transmission projects in the high-voltage sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrotechnics, project management, and a customer-oriented approach. This role involves both local work in Katowice and remote work possibilities.

Job Description

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage projects or sub-projects, ensuring seamless execution in alignment with global processes.
  • Take responsibility for budget, timelines, and quality assurance.

Customer-Centric Approach:

  • Deeply understand and anticipate customer needs, striving to exceed their expectations.

Leadership Skills:

  • Motivate and lead interdisciplinary project teams within a matrix organization, fostering a positive work environment with high accountability.

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess strong knowledge in electrotechnics and apply this expertise in project planning and execution.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and proactively manage risks and opportunities.

Communication Skills:

  • Maintain close communication with all project stakeholders, management, and clients, ensuring smooth information flow.

Safety First:

  • Champion a safety-first culture, prioritizing workplace safety.

Quality Management:

  • Implement and uphold the highest quality standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant norms and regulations.

Lean Management:

  • Continuously seek improvements and apply Lean Management methodologies.

Sustainability Focus:

  • Integrate EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) requirements into project management, promoting sustainable project execution.

Offer Management:

  • Review offers for compliance with requests and identify/resolve inconsistencies or deviations in collaboration with clients.

Claim Management:

  • Negotiate increases/decreases with the client. Prepare, and after approval by superiors, send supplementary claims.

Specification Management:

  • Clarify discrepancies between specifications and offer descriptions with the client. Compare orders and offers, document deviations. Update project status, prepare for, and participate in project reviews

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in managing projects or sub-projects in plant construction, preferably turnkey high-voltage switchgear and substations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-voltage substations or similar fields.
  • Fluent in Polish and Englisch, both spoken and written. German language skills are advantageous.
  • Certified Project Management through PMI, IPMA, or equivalent is desired or already achieved.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams with multiple interfaces and a high local project component.
  • Expertise in team building, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Experience in managing projects with high financial, technical, and commercial risks.
  • Willingness to work short-term at various locations or construction sites and to travel within Europe and globally.
