Job Description Summary
A CM&U Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering wind farm upgrade projects from contract award through final handover. The project manager is the interface between customers and the participating GE Vernova functions executing customizations, modifications and upgrades to the wind farms, coordinating the flow of information and responsible for contract administration while adhering to specifications and deliverables
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead wind farm upgrade projects from contract award through commissioning support and project closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address schedule, cost, or quality issues.
- Ensure project deliverables meet contractual obligations and customer expectations.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary customer interface throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and executive status updates.
- Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage customer requests, contract changes, and issue resolution.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, field services, and finance.
- Ensure timely delivery of , components, software and documentation.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance activities, and commissioning coordination.
- Facilitate communication between manufacturing facilities and project sites.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Understand project contracts, technical specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Manage scope changes, claims, variations, and contractual correspondence.
- Track project costs, forecasts, invoicing milestones, and cash flow.
- Support commercial negotiations when required.
Risk & Quality Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and customer specifications.
- Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with site teams to support safe turbine delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including schedule, budget, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Escalate significant project risks and issues to senior management with recommended actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in renewable energy, wind energy, heavy industrial equipment, power generation, or a related industry.
- Ability and willingness to domestically travel 20%.
- Ability and willingness to work at times outside standard business hours to support customer or project requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial project management.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience coordinating international suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of wind turbine technology, manufacturing, logistics, and installation processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Oracle ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience with utility-scale onshore or offshore wind projects.
- Familiarity with turbine transportation, heavy-lift operations, and site construction activities.
- Knowledge of grid connection, commissioning, and renewable energy regulations.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, developers, utilities, or independent power producers (IPPs).

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,400.00 and $152,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
