We have an immediate need for a 1st Shift Production Supervisor in our Schenectady, NY Plant. In this role, you would be directing the daily activities of the hourly workforce in the Stators Cell to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics. Develop, lead and execute the daily production plans. Coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition. Achieve the highest levels of internal and external customer service. Organize resources to achieve goals within a timely manner and cost-effective strategy.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Leading, mentoring and motivating team members to achieve common goals. Managing workflow and ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers and using this to understand and accomplish your own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with the rest of the factory and embracing teamwork to achieve a common goal.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of basic experience in the Manufacturing & Production Supervision.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this position is $90,400 - $120,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
