Job Description Summary

This role serves as a strategic advisor to the Senior Director of the SMR (small modular reactor) business, overseeing operational activities across our product lines, and supporting the business by developing and leading initiatives to improve organizational performance and meet key business deliverables.
In this role you will lead the Advanced Nuclear Product Management function, bringing expertise and accountability to drive daily management throughout the product lifecycle to ensure execution targets are met. Ensure product vitality to ensure the business has a leading product portfolio in both the medium and long term.
As a people leader you will create and implement talent attraction and development actions to enhance the capability of the function. You will help define and communicate the SMR product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning it with overall business goals.

Job Description

Examples of additional leadership activities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and own key business financial performance indicators such as those on the operating statement and balance sheet.
  • Represent the Advanced Nuclear Organization in key meetings with business leadership on issues of forecasting, planning, execution and strategy alignment
  • Develop and oversee Hoshin Kanri action plans
  • Partner with Lean Leader and cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement through problem solving, kaizen and standard work
  • Work with the Nuclear Product Management Strategy leaders in shaping and executing the Advanced Nuclear business strategy through the development of robust strategic product roadmaps, new technology, differentiated business models, and world class products; ensuring that Advanced Nuclear product management strategy is aligned with the overall product strategy of GE Hitachi Nuclear
  • Drive intense customer focus; communicate and build rapport with customers and ensure that their needs are reflected in all programs and business processes
  • Drive the product portfolio to meet the needs of the market. Communicate the strategy and execution of the product roadmaps and New Product Introductions (NPI) within the business
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing product data, managing product roadmaps, and bringing cross-functional teams together with a clear vision, operational alignment, and relentless focus on product differentiation (cost & performance)
  • Develop and implement enhanced visual management to increase transparency, performance and delivery of customer value
  • Ensure efficient and effective product development by streamlining processes, managing tools, and ensuring alignment across teams
  • Attract and retain world-class talent; create an environment to foster employee engagement, diversity, professional development, and high levels of employee satisfaction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related or Business-related discipline.
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, including Product leadership experience with a focus on large technology driven projects
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position for the power generation industry.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Role is onsite in Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance available)
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong financial acumen and accountability

  • Nuclear industry experience or power generation industry experience
  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in transforming complex data into valuable strategic insights
  • Experience in establishing a vision and translating it into meaningful tasks and activities for others to execute
  • Ability to build consensus across numerous organizations
  • Experience in ITO processes and negotiations
  • Passionate customer service orientation

The base pay range for this position is $153,800 to $240,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Wednesday May 7th.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
