The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will work at the Erlanger, KY service center to maintain and repair heavy/medium industrial equipment in a job shop manufacturing environment.
This is an onsite position only available at our Erlanger, KY Service Center. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekend work as optional. Available shift is 6:45AM to 3:15PM.
Our Erlanger, KY Service Center is responsible for manufacturing/assembly and/or repairs of large utility grade Power Plant Parts and Equipment.
Job Description
Your Role:
- Repair and maintain CNC and manual machining centers, weld machines and general manufacturing equipment.
- Apply competent use of hand tools, power equipment, precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Trouble shoot and specify repair options for equipment.
- Maintain and catalog maintenance tickets within' the maintenance tracking system.
- Maintain and 5S maintenance team area.
- Use measuring tools and apply knowledge of basic mathematics to measure various parts / components
- Break down and perform visual inspection of internal working parts for structures or sub-assemblies
- Operate scissor lift as needed
- Operate fork truck as needed
- Use various electric / air tools
- Trouble shoot problems or issues that arise (according to specification)
- Coordinate with contractors and other departments to ensure timely and effective completion of work.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- 5 Years of professional relevant experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing setting focused on maintenance and repair of machinery equipment.

- Ability and willingness to work multiple shifts, however the position is predominantly first shift Monday - Friday.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Ability to calculate figures, basic math, and understanding of measuring and metrics
- Intermediate to advanced problem solving skills.
- Ability to follow work rules and carry out instructions (written, oral, diagram form)
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, schematics of circuit boards and electrical wiring.
- Ability to deal with and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standard or non-standard situations
- Ability to work well with others in a multi-functional environment
- Proficiency toward continuous improvement
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
The pay range for this position is $29.00 to $33.00 USD Annual. The specific hourly pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
