Essential Functions /Responsibilities:
Conduct metallurgical qualifications in China, for components of Gas turbines, Steam turbines and other power generation equipment.

Ensure suppliers' technical documentation is complete and adequate to deliver consistent, high quality product.
Maintain qualification files, specifications and technical documentation per GE Vernova requirements.
Resolve technical issues at suppliers and manufacturing facilities.

Perform supplier assessments/lab inspections/audits as required.

Deliver accurate, timely results to internal customers within GE Vernova.

Qualifications/Requirements:

B.S. in Metallurgy or Material Science/Engineering.
Strong physical or process metallurgy background.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in at least one of the following areas: steel making, welding, casting, forging, coating, or failure analysis.

Demonstrated tracked record of ownership and ability to deliver results .

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (Written & Verbal).

Ability to work as a member of a team located in different countries.
Ability to travel within China.
Self-motivated; Self-starter. Able to work efficiently without close supervision

Desired:

Master Degree in Metallurgy or Material Science.
Previous work experience with a multinational company.
Knowledge of materials specifications in US, Europe and China
