Job Description Summary
The Master Scheduler plays a critical role in aligning production planning with customer demand, ensuring optimal service levels while supporting efficient material flow through the supply chain. Reporting to the Site Production Planning Leader, this role is responsible for scheduling customer orders in the manufacturing system and ensuring alignment with capacity, material availability, and overall business priorities by leading master production schedule (MPS) process.
This position will also lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and conduct root cause analysis when plans are not achieved. The Master Scheduler will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales -to improve system capabilities, reporting, and processes to support business growth and service objectives.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure timely delivery of customer orders while optimizing inventory levels, capacity utilization, and material flow.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand, supply, and capacity plans across the organization for medium and long term.
- Monitor and adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, supply disruptions, or manufacturing constraints, ensuring continuity and minimal impact to customer service.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action planning when the production plan is not achieved, identifying and addressing systemic issues and constraints.
- Improve planning tools, ERP functionality, and reporting capabilities to support business growth and evolving operational needs.
- Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams to communicate schedule changes, resolve issues, and mitigate risks to customer commitments.
- Be the point of contact for sales orders production status and pro-actively lead customers communications on risks and opportunities
- Support and coach production planners, providing guidance and training on micro scheduling.
- Implement and sustain Lean scheduling practices and inventory strategies to optimize material flow, improve inventory turns, and reduce shortages or overages.
- Own and maintain planning metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools, ensuring visibility into schedule adherence, service levels, and overall process performance.
- Drive daily management system with the planners, weekly MPS review with production and monthly S&OP review with stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for planning and scheduling best practices
- Work independently within established policies and procedures, using discretion and critical thinking to meet expectations for quality, volume, and timeliness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
- Minimum of 3 years working with an ERP system
