Job Description Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will work at the Houston Service Center to repair and overhaul Aero-derivative gas turbine engines and modules. This role will help support the repairs of engines, modules as well as shop floor personnel from a technical standpoint to drive productivity/manufacturability/cost-out improvements for the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in the disassembly, repairs and assembly processes for the shop floor
- Lead initiatives (Lean action workouts) to meet Service Center Fulfilment Five (EHS, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity) Goals and Objectives
- Collaborate closely with ops teams and cross-functions to address specific Tooling related and manufacturing processes that need to be improved, collaborating with functions such as Operations, Quality, Repair Vendors, Equipment/Tooling vendors, etc.
- Provide leadership/mentorship for team to lead shop floor improvement projects to resolution
- Help drive resolution on process-related problems and technical issues
- Own and drive maintenance and P&E budgets for critical shop floor projects, tooling, supplies, and repairs
- Share best practices across shop floor to drive consistency, ensure our processes are continuously improving
- Own shop floor work instructions and ensure compliance with OEM Manuals
- Develop a strong partnership with internal and external teams to build continuous process improvement
- As other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering or two-year degree (Associates or Technical)
- At least 5+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Gas Turbines engines, preferably aircraft or aero derivatives
- Lean Manufacturing experience driving process improvements
- Strong computer skills, and proficiency in AUTOCAD, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
