Job Description Summary
Ensure that the North American Systems Validation team has the proper operations support to execute activities related to testing of wind turbine systems for product development, product validation, and risk mitigation. The job has operational focus including management of contracts, leases, and budget management to operate the North American Field-Testing efforts. This role requires working across the team and engineering organization working close with both system engineering, validation, and the engineering operations team. The job also necessitates collaboration with external entities to deliver on engineering test and field execution objectives. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify test siting opportunities and development partnerships to advance product testing.
- Lead Retrofit/Build efforts at prototype sites including planning, budget management and support requirements.
- Primary point of contact for third parties and vendors ensuring that those relationships are maintained to meet GEV Sourcing and Safety Standards.
- Ownership of the Systems Validation equipment including maintenance, calibrations needs and inventory.
- Executing Funding support for operation of both the Lubbock Prototype site and Validation field testing efforts.
- Contracts, Permitting and Lease agreements required for site operations.
- Customer testing agreements.
- Customs and Logistics requirements for site material.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Accounting from an accredited university/college.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial site operations
- Ability to travel and manage project leadership for field testing at customer site and fleet testing up to 10% of the time
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with testing of complex equipment/systems.
- Established project management skills to plan and execute projects
- Wind industry experience in an engineering or projects execution capacity.
- Experience with wind turbine maintenance, operation, design, or testing
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience with field testing and measurement institutes.
