Job Description Summary

Working in an Agile Scrum environment, the Software Developer will be reporting to the Software Development Manager. The role will require working with the Scrum development team and product management team to create and execute code for product releases.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the design, writing tests, implementing new features, fixing defects, and writing down documentations.
  • You will guarantee the quality of the code and its maintainability/scalability.
  • You will be using design to code approach.
  • You will participate in the preparation of functional and technical workshops.
  • You will be responsible for the successful completion of the tasks assigned to you in accordance with the schedule, quality standards and working methods.

Technical Skills:

  • You have extensive experience (6+ years) with recent versions of JAVA (latest used: 17), Spring framework (boot, security, data...), Apache Kafka, Junit / Mockito
  • You have experience with Micro services, REST Services development and containerization.
  • You have a good working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL database technology and a query language (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB).
  • You have experience with source control systems (GIT)
  • Knowledge of craftsmanship principles/practices/methodologies (Clean code, clean architecture/code reviews, peer programming/TDD, BDD)
  • You demonstrate an ability to work in a team, with all professions (UX/UI, SEO, SEA, Analytics, Data, etc.)
  • Good skills in design, writing, planning but also in oral and written communication.
  • You are familiar with the Agile method and the associated tools.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 6 years of experience.

Business Acumen:

  • Ability to architect automation testing for complex on-prem and cloud products
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
  • Experience in breaking down problems and estimate time/resource for Automation
  • Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective

Leadership:

  • Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
  • Has proven ability to lead small to medium teams effectively in the past
  • Proactively identifies and removes obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Shares knowledge, power, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
  • Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility
  • Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members.
