Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Formulates and executes proposal strategy and sales agreements for High Voltage Circuit Breaker business for US market
- Formulates deal structure, pricing, proposal development. Assists in customer negotiations.
- Deliver the bid in line with agreed bid strategy, organize the tendering activities, Co-ordinate with Engineering, sourcing & project Management team to optimize the technical solution and commercial proposal.
- Build up the cost estimate, ensure all costs are properly validated and adequate risks provisions are considered for projects
- Lead preparation of tender documentation in line with bidding strategy. Ensure sufficient time is available for review and validation of documentation before submission to Customer
- Ensure adherence to tendering procedures and tools, all relevant tender approvals and gates should be obtained and recorded in a timely manner. Provide support during the tender review process in addressing any concern so as to ensure on time delivery of the tender outputs. Also, ensure that all comments received during the Tender Approvals are recorded and addressed before submittal of the proposal.
- Order booking for the tenders as per the defined processes and successful handover to the execution team.
- Contribute to win loss analysis - with development of higher level of proficiency
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales & Sales Operations
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in the electrification industry.
- Knowledge of the industry & of market economics, competitive dynamics, technology and projects
- Good business acumen & an understanding GE's business model and an appreciation of customer financial drivers / needs
- Team worker and highly motivated
- Ability to Make Decisions/Sense of Urgency
- Excellent time management
- Good communication skills with Customers and internal stakeholders
- Good English language skills at commercial level
