The Lead Resource Manager will develop competitive strategies to effectively hire, retain, train and assign resources. The resource Manager will work closely with the PM/Customer/Engineering Leaders to drive resource operational processes and compliance by establishing and maintaining operating rhythms for executing/commissioning the Projects successfully. This position will drive consistent behavior among the team and support process/execution changes through data analysis. The Resource Manager will integrate and develop processes that meet resource needs across the Service domain. Responsible and involved in long-term planning and contributes to the overall business strategy.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
As a Lead Resource Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for field resource deployment planning and execution to meet customer and business metrics
- Interface with EHS team to support internal and external EHS needs including documentation
- Provide support for I&C projects, LTSA's or reactive service, potentially on-site.
- Interface with the service account managers on issues escalation
- Develop long range forecast for region resource needs
- Develop and execute short and long-range resource plans based on resource forecasts and region business commitments including recruitment, skills reviews, and resource development through advance level training
- Will be people leader for a group of Field Service Engineers including staffing and performance development.
- Perform rebuilding of desktops for MSC (Military Sealift Command)
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of Marine electrical experience in a services specialist, site or project manager or another leadership role.
- US Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time on short notice.
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Associate's Degree or related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3 additional years of related industry experience.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 6 years of related industry experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Ability to execute increasingly complicated assignments, which require considerable engineering skill and creative ability and independent judgment
- Possess detailed knowledge, competence and expertise with installation and commissioning tasks and services
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills which has resulted in success
- Served as Customer focal point on project sites and manage subcontractors or partner contract to ensure success
- Solid technical background, project management, and services experience
- Construction subcontracting and contract administration experience
