Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop innovative reactive power compensator configurations and control algorithms.
  • Analyze and optimize system designs related to losses, reliability, and integration of energy storage.
  • Collaborate with local and international engineering teams.
  • Contribute to patents and scientific publications.
  • Support equipment sourcing and technical tendering processes.

Qualifications:

  • MSc (or higher) in Power/Control System Engineering or equivalent.
  • Specialized knowledge in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD, Matlab Simulink, RTDS, or PSSE.
  • Fluent in English; ability to travel to the United States and eligibility for a U.S. Visa.

Desired Attributes:

  • Proficiency in control system design and grid-connected device theory.
  • Experience with supercapacitors and energy storage systems.
  • Knowledge of IEC-61850 protocol and real-time operating systems.
  • Creativity and openness to working in an international environment.
