System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of control systems for renewable energy projects, including wind and solar power plants. Utilize your expertise in automation to enhance system performance and reliability.

PLC and SCADA Programming: Develop and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to monitor and control grid solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Integration of Renewable Technologies: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate various renewable technologies into the overall control system. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to achieve seamless communication and interoperability.

Fault Analysis and Resolution: Conduct thorough analysis of control system faults and implement effective solutions. Utilize your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime of renewable energy systems.

Cybersecurity Implementation: Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard control systems against potential threats. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the security posture of grid solutions.

Testing and Validation: Plan and conduct comprehensive testing procedures to validate the functionality and performance of control systems. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of control system designs, configurations, and modifications. Generate regular reports to update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest advancements in controls and automation technologies. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the Controls and Automation team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in controls and automation engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficiency in PLC and SCADA programming, with a strong understanding of control system architectures.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices in the context of industrial control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
