Roles and Responsibilities
- Commodity sourcing leader for sourcing and subcontracting of Offshore projects direct labor: Installation teams, Commissioning teams, Mechanical and Electrical, Preservation, Punch list, project quality subcontractors, project EHS subcontractors.
- Define direct labor supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Manages wing to wing direct labor tenders. Negotiate terms and conditions, decides supplier awarding.
- Does research on potential suppliers, selects suppliers based on the organization and/or project requirements and initiates the necessary assessment of new suppliers.
- Negotiates global master services agreements with strategic suppliers.
- Monitors the progress of frame agreements and POs (if necessary) throughout their execution. Makes continues evaluation of suppliers during their performance and reports Quality and EHS records to PMO disciplines.
- Conducts claim negotiations with the assistance of contract manager if necessary: prepares claims, decides on timing, negotiates claims (settles differences of opinion with suppliers), reports progress
- Performs regular supplier data analysis on costs, prices evolution, market needs.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
- Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications
- This role requires advanced experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
Desired Characteristics
- Education and/or experience in indirect sourcing.
- Negotiation skills (experience, training)
- Contracts knowledge (terms and conditions)
- Basic financial understanding: hedging, net present value, financial report.
- Basic knowledge of labor regulations per country, insurances & taxes.
