The Controls NPI Lead Engineer be incharge of the Core Software Development, NPI design during the all phases, create technical documentation, validation process support and software maintenance for Aero, close collaboration with CTH and interaction with Package Software.
This role is critical in driving a team culture of technical system & domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution, strong customer-focused mindset and quality focus.

The selected candidate will Strength responsibilities on the Aero GT Controls SW Development with strong manufacturing support on the NPI validation process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Support Aero Controls NPI team on the most critical NPI programs as TS7A state of the art facility collaborating closely with Aero Organization participating as lead on the GT NPI SW development, create documentation and maintaining the Software with latest lessons learned on the design, validation and commissioning control systems for Aero Controls Systems. These roles are critical in driving a team culture of technical system & domain depth, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset showing high responsiveness and emergency sense.

The Lead Aero Controls NPI engineer will be responsible for Core and package NPI with overall responsibility as part of NPI deadlines and strategy, NPI execution, portfolio planning, requirements management, design and implementation into production of controls system projects.

The selected candidate will be responsible for Technical & Schedule Risk Identification and Mitigation across complete Controls Scope.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Empowered project level decision maker
  • Project ownership for high-risk complex projects as defined by internal risk review
  • Work and Lead in an Agile software methodology
  • Support and influence product requirements definition
  • Lead globally and be accountable for overall Control System Requirements definition and management.
  • Drive overall Architecture, top level design, verification, validation and commissioning requirements.
  • Ensure adequate system function, performance, interface, reliability, maintainability and safety requirements, goals and margins are defined and managed.
  • Support & influence comprehensive test plans for system verification and validation, Customer Software Acceptance Tests (SwATs), site pre-operation, startup and commissioning.
  • Coordinate flow down of internal and external customer requirements/ tasks
  • Partner with Project Managers/GDLs and End customers to establish Projects Baseline Master Schedule and requirements
  • Lead and promote customer discussions/reviews for an improved controls solution and customer experience and expectations
  • Drive consistent solutions across all Aero controls Product lines
  • Demonstrate System Level thinking
  • Collaborate with and maintain close, responsive, and productive working relationships with internal GE groups as well as with external customers. Responsible for establishing Controls credibility and brand
  • Be accountable for Controls cost and schedule targets working with functional managers
  • Provide clear communication to the team and the business leaders

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Controls or related Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
  • Full English proficiency.

Desired Characteristics

  • Looking for PB/LPB with Aero or MarkVIe experience.
  • Desired experience in Aero GT and combustion systems.
  • Experience in design & application of GE power generation controls MarkVIe.
  • Strong experience in power generation requisition, working with customers, project mgt. or EPCs
  • Proven communication and presentation skills to the team and business leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated Technical writing expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in working successfully in technical leadership of a diverse team.
