Join us and contribute to the future of energy!
As part of the STEPS program at GE Vernova Gas Power Engineering, this project seeks to address the limitations of the existing Excel-based assessment tool for GT24, GT26, and GT13E2 fuel systems. The current tool, which lacks detailed guidance and comprehensive coverage, hinder thorough evaluation of both fuel gas and fuel oil systems.
By extending the Flow Simulator model to include the entire fuel system, interns will work alongside industry experts to improve system assessments, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions.
This project not only provides a unique opportunity for hands-on learning and exposure to cutting-edge technology but also fosters innovation and prepares participants to be influential leaders in the future of energy."
As a STEPS Project Intern, you will engage in a dynamic role focused on enhancing the assessment and optimization of fuel gas and fuel oil systems for GT24, GT26, and GT13E2 units. To be successful you'll have to meet the following deliverables:
Conduct an assessment of the fuel gas and fuel oil tools to enhance pressure budget calculations.
Identify and examine current pain points and evaluate the capabilities of current assessment tools.
Develop innovative ideas for improving tool usability and efficiency.
Collaborate in creating a comprehensive user handbook, work instructions, and job aids for enhanced tool guidance
Assist in extending the Flow Simulator (1D flow analysis) to cover the entire fuel system, facilitating improved pressure budget calculations and system analysis.
Formulate a robust strategy to validate the effectiveness of the revised tool.
This is a unique opportunity for gaining real-world engineering experience; network with GE Vernova leaders and industry experts and actively participate in technical trainings and professional development sessions.
Join us to advance sustainable energy solutions and prepare for a successful engineering career. Apply your skills and creativity to make a meaningful impact at GE Vernova.
