We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Leader to oversee VAT, sales tax, customs duties, and other indirect tax matters. This role will oversee tax strategy, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead indirect tax compliance for the region ensuring timely and accurate VAT, sales tax, and customs duty filings
- Monitor and interpret tax legislation changes across jurisdictions
- Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to assess tax-efficient structures for import/export activities
- Manage relationships with local tax authorities, handle tax audits, and ensure proper documentation and audit defense strategies
- Ensure tax controls and risk mitigation measures are embedded in finance processes and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Support customs classification, valuation, and trade compliance activities, including duty drawback and free trade agreement (FTA) planning
- Train and support local finance teams on indirect tax topics
- Collaborate with global tax and legal functions on restructuring, and tax planning projects affecting the region

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in direct tax compliance, tax reporting, or related finance roles, preferably in a multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations, tax return preparation, and local filing requirements.
- Professional proficiency in English and Arabic, with the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly in both languages
- Proficient in using tax compliance software and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel)
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, CTA,ADIT or equivalent is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, cross-functional team environment
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multinational environment or with cross-border tax matters
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tax matters to non-finance stakeholders
- Proficiency in project planning and execution, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and continuous improvement mindset
