The Global Supply Chain Localisation and CapEx leader is a strategic dual-role position that plays a pivotal part in shaping and executing the company's long-term manufacturing and investment strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the global capital expenditure (CapEx) agenda and leading product manufacturing and supply chain Localisation initiatives to support the company's growth ambitions.

Reporting to the GSI Global Supply Chain Executive and working in close collaboration with Global Supply Chain, Regional teams and Project Delivery Groups (PDG), as the successful candidate, you will ensure robust planning, coordination, and delivery of high-impact investment and Localisation programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Development

  • Drive the creation and continuous evolution of the global Localisation and manufacturing footprint strategy, in alignment with long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead strategic assessments to identify opportunities for product manufacturing and supply chain localisation across regions and markets.
  • Develop and execute the localization for valves production in India in alignment with the SQDC framework and the GEV Transfer of Work process.
  • Develop robust business cases for both localisation and capital investment initiatives, incorporating ROI modelling, risk analysis, and alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with regional leaders, the Project Delivery Group (PDG), and executive management to shape and steer investment and localization strategies.
  • Define strategic KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of localization and CAPEX programs on business performance in alignment with the SQDC framework.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations based on market dynamics, operational readiness, and investment performance.
  • Embed localization considerations into global planning processes, including make-vs-buy analysis, supplier development, and market access strategies.

General and Task Management:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of localization programs, from early-stage opportunity validation through approval, implementation, and handover into operations.
  • Establish the factory set up In India, drive and coordinate the different workstreams to enable high quality, resilient, and cost effective supply chain operations.
  • Oversee the implementation of global CAPEX initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional execution teams, fostering collaboration among engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategy execution, providing transparency to leadership and ensuring timely interventions where needed.
  • Champion high standards in project delivery by driving consistency in planning, execution, and governance across programs.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of investment plans by standardizing business case development processes and facilitating structured executive reviews.
  • Define and implement operational KPIs, tracking both financial and strategic success metrics, and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Business or advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a Global Function such as Operations, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality or Supply Chain.
  • Extensive and demonstrated year's of experience.

  • Capability and experience to work with local and remote resources, merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time.
  • Proven track record of delivery in a challenging role.
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor and work effectively across functions whilst leading in a matrix environment.
  • Proven Business leadership experience.
  • Ability to lead, coach & mentor employees across the various businesses at all levels.
  • Exposure to financial measurements and accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • An excellent team player with high energy.
  • Knowledgeable of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP).
  • Excellent project management and cross cultural leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
