Job Description Summary
The Wind Global Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Lead is responsible for supporting EHS specifically in the areas of industrial hygiene and environmental regulatory and program deliverables. The role will focus on the integrity and effectiveness of the GE Vernova Wind IH programs and environmental processes, policies, and procedures including support programs like ISO 14001 systems. Additionally, the role will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to identify key industrial hygiene program hazards and controls to ensure compliance top both regulatory and GE Vernova Wind standards. Additionally, the role will support environmental risk management through engagement with the GE Vernova global EHS teams, frontline stakeholders, and the GE Vernova Product Safety teams. The role will report to the Wind Global Operations and Center of Excellence EHS Leader and will be responsible for driving excellence across the organization regarding developing consistent and standard industrial hygiene and environmental programs and expectations.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead Industrial Hygiene program, with a priority focus on identifying and managing industrial hygiene exposure risks in the Wind organization and developing monitoring and mitigation plans to ensure they are managed to both regulatory and policy guidance.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on environmental program support needs for Wind Product Safety and field-based environmental program risks and controls (e.g., waste management, water management, etc.)
- Integrate and operationalize GE Vernova Industrial Hygiene and Environmental/Sustainability core technical program expectations into the One Wind organization.
- Work with regional teams to support industrial hygiene and environmental program activities.
- Support GE Vernova EHS business operation system (Framework) and ISO programs
- Support the key deliverables and KPIs for the business as it relates to health and safety strategy.
- Provide coaching and leadership to ensure incidents are reported and conduct incident investigations and industrial hygiene and environmental audits, identify discrepancies, and drive correction actions as needed.
- Proactively partner and develop positive working relationships with cross-functional personnel.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial hygiene or environmental program lead
Eligibility Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time
- Remote and/or located in Schenectady, NY
Desired Characteristics
- Certified Health and Safety professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Prior experience in Wind industry and/or energy industry fields
- Significant experience and demonstrated achievements with safety programs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Medical fitness and ability to work at height per local and global standards
- Knowledge of EHS management systems
- Fluent English with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience working in or across different GE Vernova businesses
- Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and the reduction of risk through team engagement and help develop an organizational culture that prioritizes EHS.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and drive change and interact cross-functionally
- Confidently able to facilitate and deliver training and or presentations to a diverse audience
- Ability to influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal
- Field experience in a project / services environment, practical experience in risk management
- High energy, self-starter
- Related EHS expertise outside of primary responsibility, for example, Occupational Safety or Sustainability
- Trained to Global Wind Organization (GWO) basic safety standard
- Additional language skills
The base pay range for this position is $113,100.00 - $188,500.00 USD Annual USD Annual USD Annual USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 15%. This posting is expected to close no earlier than June 19, 2025.
