Job Description Summary

Responsible for successful delivery of multiple complex DERMS projects as a Global Service Line Leader. As a Senior Leader, you will be expected to drive thought leadership in DERMS, and related areas with our customers, and partners worldwide. This also includes hiring and developing of top talent that is focused on ensuring ultimate customer success. You will be expected to work with Portfolio Leaders worldwide to deploy top talent on respective DERMS projects on a timely basis and maintain utilization and other targets provided.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate domain-level technical and business discussions related to future architecture direction across the product line.
  • Contribute to the development of DERMS software and data delivery platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together in different methods.
  • Lead the implementation of DERMS solutions globally to ensure on-time, high quality project deliverables for our customers.
  • Assist pre-sales cycles of DERMS opportunities by engaging effectively with the Sales Teams globally.
  • Lead regional DERMS teams and ensure technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of the projects.
  • Typically, a 2nd line manager with senior professional direct reports. Has the ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise in own function. May include roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership . Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
  • Leads others to find creative solutions within complex technology processes with technical variety and/or interdependent functions. Employs sophisticated operational, delivery or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
  • Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry, and market trends to support project development and operational support activities

Required Characteristics

Technical Expertise

  • Ability to consult with customers on aligning business outcomes with technical solutions at the enterprise level.
  • Proficient in analyzing, designing, and developing software solution roadmaps based on current and future business states.
  • Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; experience with complex solution configurations.
  • Familiar with the full range of solution catalogs within a business unit; able to discuss overall solutions in depth.
  • Experienced in sustaining operational stability across various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, decommissioning).
  • Ability to provision and manage capital and operating budgets.
  • Skilled in leading early-stage customer interactions and guiding them in integrating new solutions with legacy technology.

Business Acumen

  • Adept at navigating organizational structures, understanding roles, and leveraging resources to overcome obstacles.
  • Strong understanding of internal/external business models; skilled at facilitating active customer engagement.
  • Able to articulate what is most important to the business/customer to achieve key outcomes.
  • Capable of producing detailed functional information for cross-functional team usage, using effective presentation and storytelling techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of the full solution catalog; can discuss each area at an advanced level.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification.

Leadership

  • Demonstrated knowledge of internal organizational structures and processes.
  • Proven ability to foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, and rally teammates effectively.
  • Experience working with and leading blended teams, including third-party partners and customer personnel.
  • Demonstrated change management and acceleration capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and curiosity with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and influence across IT teams and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong Utilities Industry Knowledge and DERMS domain expertise
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in the software Industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
