The Grid Automation CFO position will report into the CFO of Electrification Systems and functionally to the GM of the Grid Automation business. The Grid Automation business line is an organization with ~3,000 employees globally which provides Protection & Control and Monitoring & Communication products and solutions across the energy value chain. '25 revenues for Grid Automation are expected to be ~$1B and expected to grow significantly as utility demand increases for strengthening and building a more resilient and interconnected grid. The Grid Automation business has 8 factories and multiple panel integration sites. In addition to its manufacturing and integration capabilities, the Grid Automation invests significantly in R&D to innovate and enhance its broad range of products and offerings.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
The CFO for the Grid Automation business will be responsible for supporting the business line GM to execute on overall business strategy while delivering top-line profitable growth and supporting the growth of the business. The CFO will be ultimately accountable for delivering margin expansion and free cash generation of the business line. This includes partnering with the commercial team to identify and win profitable orders underpinned by strong commercial underwriting & governance, driving cost-out of products / projects across the global product & project portfolio, managing capital allocation of new factory and technology investments, evaluating and optimizing structural cost and delivering working capital improvements. Other responsibilities include:
- Provide financial leadership to establish and achieve financial goals and objectives
- Lead the development, implementation and measurement of the business planning phases and their successful execution
- Provide business performance analytics to identify financial trends, highlight risk and opportunities and ensure operational coordination; directly responsible for the overall financial plan; risk management/mitigation of Grid Automation projects.
- Execute data-backed decisions to support and drive actions across business line / regional teams
- Serve as a business partner to the commercial & operating team to drive vision, business initiatives, growth and profitability
- Develop effective operational partnerships to achieve financial objectives
- Establish and maintain a financial measurement and reporting system, which provides management with appropriate information
- Responsible to provide target clarity, and clear metrics for Orders, Sales, EBITDA and Cash
- Establish and implement financial corrective actions
- Maintain controllership in all aspects of financial operations to ensure business line complies with internal control and procedures and minimize business risk
- Manage appropriate cash flow, expenses, receivables to support operating activities
- Manage a global team of finance professionals including key people related activities including hiring, onboarding, communication, performance planning, development and recognition
- Recruit, mentor and develop finance talent
Educational Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance from an accredited college or university or the same knowledge/experience
- Prior experience managing a multi-functional, global Finance organization
- Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete programs and action plans
- Experience overseeing project management, supply chain and engineering functions
- Prior experience working in businesses with multiple business models i.e. projects, products, and services
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to effectively prioritize
- Established analytical, project management, and organizational skill
- Transformation and Innovation orientation, with ability to influence across organization
- Strong interpersonnel and leadership skills
