The GE Vernova Advanced Research Marketing & Communications Leader is an experienced communications leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience. As the Senior Communications Leader, this person will be responsible for building a communications vision and roadmap and implementing a strategic external and internal communications plan to build the GE Vernova Advanced Research's brand as well as enhance the company's reputation. This position will cover: Reputation & Thought Leadership, Brand Management, Employee/Culture Communications and Digital Communications.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Communications organization supporting the GE Vernova Advanced Research Center, owning the overall strategy for external and internal communications; building awareness for the organization's technology, innovative spirit, and team.
  • Responsible for GE Vernova Advanced Research's reputation, brand building and communications approach and initiatives for key stakeholders, including positioning and messaging strategy and provide communications counsel to leadership team.
  • Support all elements of GE Vernova Research's customer and government engagement efforts with design of external communications, marketing collateral and branding.
  • Oversight for GE Vernova Research Employee Communications, Niskayuna Site Communications & Social Content
  • Collaborate with GE Vernova Communications functionally to build the Vernova brand and drive engagement between the business segments and advanced research.
  • Manage a team of functional experts in the executive communications and presentations, graphic design, and social media and employee engagement spaces.
  • Work closely with Advanced Research leadership as the creative storyteller for GE Vernova Advance Research, creating content that supports the hiring of technical and research talent.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience with a large industrial and/or research entity
  • Technical background and/or expertise working in a highly technical environment
  • Strong oral, written, and digital communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proven expertise with communications during times of crisis or significant change
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $200,000 USD annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
