Join our dynamic service team as a Service Technician, where you will have the unique opportunity to work with advanced technology and play a crucial role in managing resources and logistics for service and maintenance activities at customer sites. Your contributions will ensure the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of products, ranging from preventive maintenance to field services engineering. You will impact the quality of your work and that of your team, with the flexibility to adapt tasks based on changing situations.

You will travel within Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Uphold GE's highest standards in GIS/AIS/PQP installation and maintenance processes.
• Nonconformity Management: Efficiently manage product-based nonconformities, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for service clients, addressing product and installation concerns.
• Project Reporting: Provide consistent updates on project progress and product issues to the SER Project Manager.
• Safety Promotion: Cultivate a safe work environment by promoting best practices and continuous safety improvement.
• Site Visits: Conduct evaluations to assess equipment conditions and report on failures.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation in alignment with GE's governance and quality plans.
• Technical Oversight: Supervise installation, repair, commissioning, and maintenance of GE products.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including the preparation of site test documentation.

Desired Characteristics & Experience:

• Extensive experience in substation primary plant construction and installation techniques.
• Proven experience as a substation secondary wireman.
• Comprehensive understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
• Field competence in equipment condition monitoring and failure analysis.
• Ability to promote and enforce safe working practices.
• Experience in project reporting and management.

Location:
The role requires extensive travel within Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
