Job Description Summary

The Facility Maintenance Lead oversees facility maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance programs and project management initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure through strategic planning and proactive execution. The lead coordinates maintenance activities, oversees contract personnel and third-party vendors, manages vendor relationships, and champions continuous improvement projects to enhance operational excellence and facility performance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily building operations to ensure safety, compliance, and functionality.
  • Manage the facility work order system, completing and tracking maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot facility systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, etc.) and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Support facility improvement projects by assisting with planning and execution to meet timelines, budgets, and company standards.
  • Conduct facility and EHS inspections regularly to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple departments on facility and maintenance projects to meet operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain facility and maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and EHS documentation, including PPE assessments, hazard assessments, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Assist with site 5S activities, such as installing 5S tape, wall painting, and maintaining organized workspaces.
  • Coordinate and oversee contract personnel and third-party vendors to ensure maintenance and facility projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Oversee facility exterior and grounds, escalating issues to the Property Management group to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Respond to internal service requests and provide timely, customer-focused solutions.
  • Serve as an on-call contact for facility emergencies, physical security, and site support needs, ensuring prompt response and resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field OR High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical maintenance experience in commercial or industrial environments, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, email platforms, and facility management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures, and preventive maintenance best practices.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced settings.

The base pay range for this position is $85,700.00 - 107,100.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
