Job Description Summary

Primarily responsible for performing various types of weld preparation, welding and fabrication of weldments, including cutting, grinding, and finish of welding operations. Completing repair and fabrication type welding related work orders as directed by the Supervisor. Learning Sketch-up software, designing, ordering materials, and assembly of flex pipe type carts, shelving, or other flex pipe constructs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, prep, and fabrication with primarily metal or flex pipe. May be requested to fabricate other items utilizing other materials as needed.
• Reads and understands blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders
• Identifies and obtains equipment, tools, and materials needed to properly perform job function
• Performs Corrective and Preventative Maintenance on tools and equipment as assigned
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
• Performs on the job training and other training as required
• Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision
• Identify near misses and unsafe conditions, act, and report on such conditions
• Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors
• Assists maintenance technicians with equipment repairs as needed
• Other Ad hoc duties as assigned

• 2+ years welding experience
• Ability to obtain welding certification if not already acquired
• Knowledge and skilled in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding
• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Time management

• Welding certification
• Ability to conceptualize, design, and fabricate own ideas into reality
• Maintenance and/or farmhand experience
• Woodworking/construction knowledge and skills
• Works well with many different personality types
• Self-motivated and driven
