Job Description Summary
The CRO/CIO will serve as a strategic and operational leader, driving both investment oversight and risk governance across GE Vernova Financial Services' proprietary balance sheet and third-party managed capital. This dual-role executive will be accountable for maintaining the Investment Approval Process (IAP), ensuring investment discipline, leading risk oversight, and maximizing long-term value through asset management, development and portfolio stewardship. The role also plays a critical part in shaping the firm's culture, building and retaining a high-performing team, and representing GE Vernova Financial Services in Investment Committee and enterprise risk discussions.

Key Responsibilities:
Investment Oversight and Strategy
- Own and update the Investment Approval Process (IAP) across both balance sheet and fund / investment vehicles
- Review and ensure compliance of all investments with applicable parameters, fund mandates, and approval protocols
- Work with deal teams to guide the preparation of investment memorandums and supporting materials for committee and board approvals
- Actively participate as a voting member of Investment Committee(s), bringing sound commercial and risk judgment
- Liaise with GE Vernova's Head of Risk on enterprise-wide risk impacts of new investments and coordinate new investments and portfolio related corporate reporting
- Lead the strategy for risks associated with revenue generation, such as market fluctuations or changes in customer behavior
- Reimagine investment committee for Financial Services to ensure deal flow risk vetting
Risk Governance
- Define and manage the risk appetite framework, authority delegations, and control environment
- Lead the independent risk review function across new investments, restructurings, development and divestitures
- Monitor market, credit, and operational risk across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with GEV's policies and investment vehicle/fund requirements
- Maintain risk and operational policies compliance across jurisdictions (i.e. U.S. and global jurisdictions)
Asset Management and Portfolio Oversight
- Create a strategy of asset attainment and sustainment
- Oversee post-investment monitoring, asset performance tracking, and risk mitigation
- Lead valuation processes and portfolio analytics in coordination with Finance
- Implement asset optimization strategies including refinancings, exits, and value enhancement initiatives
- For fund / investment vehicles, ensure accurate and timely portfolio reporting and other updates including policy compliance and operational matters & mitigations, valuation, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and industry standards. Stay informed of changes in regulatory environments and adapt strategies accordingly.
Leadership and Team Building
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performance, cross-functional, global team (with direct and indirect reports) that is responsible for investment strategy, operational strategy and Lean rigor
- Set a strong cultural tone based on accountability, collaboration, and excellence

Candidate Profile:
Experience
- 15+ years of global experience in infrastructure or energy development investment, project finance, asset management, and/or risk oversight
- Deep familiarity with structured investment products (equity, debt, hybrid), capital markets, and fund governance
- Proven track record of managing complex transactions and overseeing investment portfolios
- Experience interfacing with institutional investors, investment committees, and regulators

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Engineering, or Economics and/or related field
- Minimum 15 years' experience in infrastructure or energy development investment, project finance, asset management, risk and/or related field
- Fluent in English
- Ability to travel ~10%

We are looking for a values-led, commercially courageous leader with 15+ years of experience in infrastructure investment, project finance, or portfolio risk leadership. Advanced qualifications such as CFA or FRM are a plus.

The base pay range for this position is $252,000 to $378,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 100% performance bonus and equity. This posting is expected to remain open until at least Thursday, July 24, 2025.
