Customer service intern provides software support for our Transformer Monitoring and Diagnostics Software product.

Job Description

Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Monitoring and Diagnostics team, based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

Our mission is to develop state of the art monitoring technologies, generally deployed in an Electrical Substation, allowing a customer to understand and optimize the operating condition of their Electrical Power Transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.

During this 1-year internship, you will work among a talented and motivated Product Support team, applying transformer monitoring technologies such as On-line Dissolved Gas Measurement, Bushing Measurement, Circuit-Breaker Monitoring amongst others. Gain experience working with the support team by participating in finding solutions to customer queries.

Participate in the production of Software application "How To" multi-media releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with questions and provide information to remote staff.
  • Reviewing mapping data accuracy.
  • Searching support cases to understand potential gaps and opportunities we may have responding to issues.
  • Documenting and testing new software applications.

Essential

  • Studying in pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related subjects.
  • Excellent English language communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present complex data clearly with meaningful conclusions.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.

Desired

  • Experience with various programming languages such as VBA, Java, HTML, Powershell.
  • Knowledge of Power Transformer theory.
  • Analytical and organisational skills.
  • Second language .
