All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the analysis, design, and optimization of power systems, including conducting studies, troubleshooting, and ensuring system stability and reliability.
  • Perform power system studies including power flow, short circuits, transients, stability, arc flash, harmonics, and grounding, evaluate options, write reports and present study results to the clients technical teams
  • Working collaboratively on power system studies projects such as network modelling, steady state and dynamic studies using DIgSILENT and PSCAD software's.
  • Basic and Detailed engineering for Power Systems and EBoP Equipment including Transformer, Switchgear and Cables across Industry, M&O and O&G Domains
  • Analyze customer's contract, prepare specifications to vendors and internal stake holders
  • Ability to work in team, involve in project discussions, review technical reports, projects.
  • Review solutions developed and identify opportunities for improvement of process, system, or equipment
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer's EHS policies and procedures
  • Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team
  • Foster relationship with other GEV business entities to maximize the benefits of synergies
  • Liaise with Platform Engineering, Technology and Value Engineering, and Supply Chain as appropriate to support the project and business
  • Continuous commitment to Learning & Development.
  • Drive lean mind set to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from reputed College / University
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Power Systems / Project Engineering / System engineering projects based on VSDS for Industry /Marine / Oil & Gas / Power domains
  • Extensive knowledge in Power system tools: DIgSILENT (Power factory) / PSCAD (PSSE) / ETAP
  • Knowledge and application of International Standards
  • Ability to adapt and multitask with project / application engineers
  • Analytical and innovative approach in problem solving
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • PLM, Primavera experience are added advantage
