Job Description Summary
Activities to support/lead engineering design, development of products, improvement, standard operational/technical tasks in Structures team, issues solving process, on enclosures as initial scope, Skids/Modules as a later extension of scope of work to cover some frames.
Activities to support GTCC PLM tasks (tasks completion process, CHGI, ISS, tasks shift, etc) in Structures Team with structural/civil background.
In case of need, role will extend to support other Mechanical CoE team for GTCC-PLM activity support.
The role owns scope of work in a highly cross-functional, leading execution of design tasks for project-specific drawings, specifications and BOMs, as well as for New Product Introduction (NPI) to deliver on-time with expected high quality level. It requires also good skill in communication and reporting.
This role partners with heating and ventilation, piping, Drafting, Sourcing, Sourcing Quality, Project Engineering, Configuration Management, and Customer Service to get ownership for the product lifecycle from new product development to commercial operation in the field.
All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers are delivered to provide a quality product that meets the user's needs.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for Requisition Execution and New product Introduction for Structural component (Enclosure) to :
- Execute design of assigned projects using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring good level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of our key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to propose/make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Requires good interpersonal skills, good customer (internal/external) relationships.
- Explains technical information to others.
- Manage the execution of design tasks for drawings and BOMs, to deliver on time with expected high quality level.
- Execute tasks with good process of design, creation, validation with CTH/TL, and optimization of systems.
- Verify the design is properly designed, integrated, and executed.
- Resolve emergent issues with safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Solve customer quality issues and perform read across to ensure real-time corrective action implementation.
- Use internal and limited external sources outside of own function to complete its work.
- Knows how own area is interfaced with others.
- Be active on cost reduction, labor productivity, and reduced cost of poor quality.
- Partners with heating and ventilation, piping, Drafting, Sourcing, Sourcing Quality, Project Engineering, Configuration Management, and Customer Service, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Collaborate to ensure standard product (GBOM) structure is in place and maintained as direct release capable for new unit orders.
- Develop knowledge in the discipline. Has awareness of recent technical developments in own area.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical/Structural Component. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience), with structural/civil background
- Master's degree in Structural engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of engineering experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization, external customers and suppliers.
- Customer and team focused.
- Good mechanical design background and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Project management skills.
- English language mandatory

- Structural Analysis tools: STADD Pro
- Building code knowledge
- Tools knowledge, in particular on GTCC PLM.
- Other tools could be an advantage (ClearOrbit (SDR, RFI, NCR),...)
