Job Description Summary
The E,C&I Team Lead is responsible for managing a team that covers all aspects of Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Maintenance on the plant to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.
Job Description
As E,C&I Team Lead you report to the Operation and Maintenance Leader and:
- Provide leadership to the maintenance team (Instrument & Control) in the day to day maintenance activities.
- Develop, supervise and co-ordinate plant maintenance activities.
- Plan and inspect completed work on plant equipment.
- Assign general, preventive and corrective maintenance jobs to maintenance technicians
- Execute work order through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and co-ordinate within the team for job completion and technical matters.
- Maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work. Acquire considerable knowledge of the process and the relevant mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant and apply the same to trouble shoot problems and lead the maintenance team in resolving the issue.
- Promote development and succession management in the team.
- Train the subordinates on preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in planning and scheduling outage works with due regard to annual scheduled maintenance plan.
- Assess plant needs for spare parts & supplies and generate material requisitions.
- Co-ordinate with Stores and Procurement for inventory management.
- Control plant inventory via the CMMS system
- Acquire full knowledge of EHS policies & procedures and ensures compliance.
- Evaluate, plan and actively participate in plant housekeeping.
- Assist and co-ordinate with EHS Manager/Supervisor on all EHS activities including implementation of policies/procedures, inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance in all areas of Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures as applicable to the maintenance activities.
- Develop training schedules/plans for the members in the team

- Communicate effectively with managers, peers and team fellows, both verbally and in writing
- Available for emergency on call duties on power plant .

Requirements:
- Graduate Engineer in Instrumentation & Control from an accredited College or University or relevant working experience.
- Proven and relevant power plant Operations & Maintenance experience.
- GE Aero Power Plant Experience is a benefit.
