Job Description Summary

This category will include those EHS professionals involved in "designing for EHS" (NPI), individuals responsible for customer or industry engagement, and EHS professionals working at customer sites or projects (generally not managing teams of EHS professionals or regions).
Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and procedures
- To interpret Laws, Regulations and Procedures, considering all relevant local / national EHS standards in the organization;
- Prepare, review and manage retention of EHS Documentations and manage relevant trainings (Site Plan, Emergency Plan, Risk Assessment, Weekly Reports, Incident Report);
- Ensure Emergency drills are carried out at least quarterly;
- Support Major Component Exchange projects with team mobilization verification, tool and equipment selection and approval;
- Support regularly scheduled Audit activities by management, regulatory agencies, clients; manage internal site inspections;
- Ensure that GE compliance applications like Gensuite, Comply Works, SGS, etc. are fully implemented;
- Maintain high class reporting systems.
Support and drive the achievement of a zero harm culture and influence stakeholders with factual and effective communication
- Carry out Risk Assessments, Incident and Event Investigations with Root Cause Analysis on demand and guide the local teams to support with information towards better action identifications;
- Work closely to the site management as well as the field technicians, be active in design driven improvements of the product;
- Collaborate in the development of training plan and ensure implementation;
- Identify best management practices and communicate these to support wider implementation across the region;
- Support the Regional EHS Manager and Service Manager in decision making regarding the region;
- Follow-up and communicate EHS KPIs as per established schedule towards operational management and customers.
Desired characteristics
- Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication in English is crucial for conveying safety information, conducting training, and reporting to management. Spoken local languages, Swedish and/or Finnish is an addition.
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations: a deep understanding of local EHS regulations and OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards is essential for ensuring compliance.
- Physical capacity to work at height is minimum requirement (certification according to GWO requirements).
- Confident usage of online platforms and MS Outlook tools.
- Driving license
- Soft skills: analytical and problem solving skills, good time-management, leadership and motivational skills, good adaptability, resolution oriented personality, interest in continuous learning and growth, capacity to work in a multicultural environment
- Experience in wind industry is a preferred characteristic.
