The Commercial Intelligence Leader is responsible for providing actionable, data-driven insights that enable strategic and operational decisions across Commercial and Pricing functions. This role combines deep analytical expertise, commercial acumen, and a proactive Lean mindset to identify opportunities, optimize performance, and drive measurable financial impact.
The position will support a small, high-performing analytics team and partner closely with Segment and Regional leaders, translating complex data into clear recommendations.
Job Description
Commercial & Pricing Analytics
- Support and sustain ITO (Inquiry-to-Order) and Pricing Daily Management processes across all segments and regions.
- Maintain and improve Standard Work for leading and lagging commercial KPIs, ensuring consistent global measurement.
- Enhance Win/Loss analysis by defining running rules, roles, and responsibilities, ensuring outputs result in clear, actionable insights.
- Define MOR commercial KPIs, establish reliable data sources, and support segments in consistent data collection.
- Maintain and update the pipeline evaluation tool to reflect organizational changes and evolving business needs.
- Lead the Commercial Cockpit development, delivering concise and impactful dashboards to business stakeholders.
Strategic Pricing Support
- Partner with Pricing teams to develop and enhance dynamic pricing tools, integrating internal (capacity, S&OP, costs) and external (competition, market trends) factors.
- Drive initiatives that produce measurable annual price accretion and sustainable margin improvements.
Business Partnership & Process Improvement
- Actively support the global S&OP process, ensuring commercial and pricing insights are embedded in planning.
- Collaborate with segment teams to diagnose issues arising from KPIs and analytics, supporting structured problem-solving.
- Share success stories, lessons learned, and best practices across segments to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead Commercial Analytics process improvement efforts, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
- Organize, facilitate, and participate in Kaizen events and Lean problem-solving sessions to reduce waste and simplify processes.
- Engage in segment and regional operating rhythms to ensure analytics are aligned with business priorities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Support, mentor, and develop team members, setting priorities and fostering analytical and Lean problem-solving skills.
- Promote a proactive, insight-driven culture within the Commercial Intelligence function.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, business, marketing, or finance related field from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Commercial Analytics / KPIs, Demonstrable change leadership experience
- Fluency in English & Spanish (written & spoken)
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong data visualization and analytics skills; proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working under limited supervision.
- Knowledge & experience in working with NEX/SalesForce.com & proficiency in Microsoft software suite. Advanced skills in Smartsheet and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Services experience in Steam and/or Gas power businesses
- Experience with Services offerings; parts, repairs, upgrades and field services
- Business and financial acumen
- Interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work in a matrix environment, influence, and motivate to achieve a unified goal
- Listening skills

If contracted in the US:
The salary range for this position is $128,400 to $213,900 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
