Job Description Summary

The BI & Reporting Center of Excellence (CoE) leader at GE Vernova Digital Grid Software shall provide strategic and operational leadership to this horizontal team cutting across commercial, commercial operations, engineering, services and support functions. The CoE Leader will put together an organizational structure to build capability to provide real time, optimized data analytics and reporting capabilities to enhance the organizational decision making.

  • Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Business Intelligence & Reporting CoE aligned with organizational goals.

  • People Management

Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of BI analysts, data engineers, and reporting specialists.

  • Technology and Tools Expertise

Stay abreast of emerging BI technologies and tools; implement cutting-edge BI solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Learn and adopt best practices for data visualization and reporting.

  • Data Governance and Quality

Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.

Drive initiatives to improve data quality and establish standardized reporting processes.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with business leaders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure BI solutions align with business objectives and offer added value.

  • Delivery KPI and Continuous Improvement

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact and effectiveness of BI initiatives. Look for opportunities for simplification, automation and standardization.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role for Business Intelligence and Reporting or operations activities of a software product and services organization. More specifically experience with management & financial reporting, analytics and reporting for Sales and commercial operations, Service delivery and product life cycle
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with BI tools & technologies, data modelling, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in managing KPI's and Metrics
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices on reporting rhythm, content and processes that would add advantages.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology) with 15+ years of experience in a software product and services company, with at least 5 years of relevant operations experience.

  • Exposure to LEAN methodologies
