Job Description Summary

The Aero Alliance (50/50 GE Power & Baker Hughes Joint Venture) Engines Solutions Leader will provide functional leadership for the Refurbished Engines, Lease Engines and Engine Reconfiguration value streams. Responsible for product strategy, OP plan development & execution, forecasting, repair cost management, utilization, configuration management, inventory optimization, on-time delivery, growth initiatives, and financial performance for this expanding segment of the Aero Alliance portfolio.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the operating plan including financial performance of the Asset Management Engines portfolio of services
  • Shape and own the vision and long-term strategy for Engines Solutions, including Refurbished, Reconfigurations and Leasing. This includes driving fulfillment excellence and on time delivery while optimizing inventory and cost.
  • Develop and present the operations review including business strategy and key operating metrics to leadership on a regular rigor
  • Collaborate with Channel partners to plan, forecast and execute against channel opportunities.
  • Find creative solutions to complete engine builds and reconfigurations on-time for Channel partners
  • Create business cases to support significant investments required to right size the refurbished engines, Lease engines pool as well as resources required to manage the reconfiguration demand.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to simplify customer experience and provide transparency to Channel partners through digital tools
  • Develop and lead actions necessary to meet quality, cost and turn time commitments
  • Proactively manage repair costs, inventory, on-time delivery, core return, and cash KPIs for segment
  • Integrate operations and prioritization of Engine builds with depot production control and Channel partners
  • Provide Functional leadership to the AM Engines fulfillment and Operations Staff.

  • Lease pool contract execution to include new add, manage existing member terms execution, contract terminations, usage, and membership billing.
  • Lease availability for Channels, considering global support and maintenance planning.
  • Balance Availability and maintenance planning to improve availability and manage cost per hour.
  • MGPP Planning to ensure Fleet is right sized.
  • Support lease issue resolution to avoid escalations. Manage escalation process
  • Manage Refurbished Engines value stream to include:
    • Buyback strategy and execution to seed the USM, MOD X and Refurbished Engine Pools.
    • Asset allocation and repair management to meet channel demands with the right configuration on time, on budget and with quality.
  • Manage the Engine Reconfiguration Value stream to include:
    • Collaboration with Channels on forecasted events and material planning.
    • Development of configurations standard playbook.
    • Quoting and execution of the reconfigurations on time and on budget.

    • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical discipline or HS Diploma/GED or Associates Degree plus 10-15 years of experience with gas turbine engines and processes
    • Minimum 15+ years' experience in gas turbine repair services, or related Technical, Commercial function
    • Proven experience leading a team
    • Passionate customer service orientation
    • Strong operations background, proven track record in achieving results
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a collaborative manner
    • Demonstrated experience developing presentations / presenting to senior leadership

    • Technical knowledge and understanding of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, modules, and their engineering BOM structure

    • Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives
    • Knowledge of the logistics process / documents required to move cargo and clear customs
