Job Description Summary

Preparation of Services ( Motors & Generators Repairs - Field and Shop) proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment. Execute within a well defined sales/commercial framework. May be responsible for supporting targeted clients, stable regions, and/or small sales territories.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Technical bid development and negotiation. Owns the technical analysis of customer inquiries, RFQs, or tenders, to determine proposal requirements, scope of supply, and winning equipment configurations. Matrix leadership of technical team including Application engineering, EHS, product engineering, and all other technical disciplines for proposals;
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of own discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in Electrical Motors & Generators Services;
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area;
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters;
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding, participate in technical meetings, visits , etc;
  • Elaborate Technical an Commercial Proposals for M&G Services, for Shop Repairs and Field Services;

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical);
  • Electrical / Mechanical Technical degree;
  • Experience in Services operations;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs;
  • Ability to work independently and manage various tasks at the same time;
  • Ability to comply with tight customers lead time requirements;
  • Portuguese and English fluent;

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience in Commercial roles;
  • Prior experience in Customer Management roles;
  • Spanish fluent.
