Job Description Summary
Application Engineer, to provide optimum solutions for various Industries (Metals, Aluminum, Hydrogen Rectifiers) on system level by proposing the correct technical solution including internal process alignment (ITR Review, Technical Risk assessment, Technical Compliance Protocol etc.,) Carry out sub-vendor coordination for aligning with customer requirements on electrical components, installation and erection, including civil and mechanical engineering works. He/ She shall work in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. He/ She must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for technical challenges to assure complete customer satisfaction. Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Have an experience in preparation of technical proposals, costing sheets, with a strong ability to go through customer RFQ and propose the right solution that is cost effective and meets customer requirements.
- Must possess technical background and the ability for discussing technical requirements with customers and internal teams.
- Reading and commenting customer technical requirements, aligning offering with scope of supply, delivering timely and quality responses for customer requests.
- Providing technical support during customer meetings, product presentations and negotiations.
- Reviewing the proposals received with sub-suppliers and checking feasibility with customer requirements.
- Collaborating with relevant functions in the region (Engineering, Commissioning, Sourcing) / Global in order to identify a technically feasible and optimal techno-commercial proposal.
- Identify technical risks and put in place the mitigation plan.
- Formulate data for creating Initial Project Schedule to determine tentative timelines as per customer requirement.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer's EHS policies and procedures
- Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team.
- Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs.
- Proficient reporting skills with the ability to create structured backup of resources and technical data utilized in the tendering stage, enabling seamless handover to the execution team.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Any Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the role of Application Engineering for Industry or Tendering or any other domains for solutions based on Metals, Aluminum and Hydrogen Rectifiers.
- Minimum 5 years of tendering and costing experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Capable of working with multi-disciplined international team with good personal organization skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Application Engineering tools (e.g. Sales force, Costing tool).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.

- Minimum Experience in Tendering of similar products / solution.
- Ability to scout for available Tenders in government and private organizations aligning with the respective Sales verticals.
- Ability to understand customer needs and identify market trends.
- Knowledge on the pricing of similar products /solutions of international range of suppliers.
- Knowledge on the costing tools / methodology adapted for Tendering process.
- Willing to travel on short notice within base country and overseas for short/long term assignments
- Personality with analytical and methodical approach.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi.
