Senior Process Engineer

King of Prussia, PA

We are actively seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our Enterprise PMO team! This position is pivotal in optimizing and refining enterprise-wide operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall business success as part of a dynamic transformation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both project management and process engineering, demonstrating the ability to seamlessly integrate these skill sets for the benefit of the organization. The Senior Process Engineer will be a flexible learner and have experience with both technical and non-technical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
  • Design, implement, and manage robust processes aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  • Conduct process audits and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Develop deep knowledge of organizational processes through immersion techniques that build operational knowledge and subject matter expertise.
  • Work closely with various departments, including Claims, Customer Service (GSC), Underwriting, Learning and Development, People Change Management, and IT, to streamline end-to-end processes and create effective flow.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, feedback, and requirements for process improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of process improvement initiatives.
  • Work with key operational and IT managers to deliver project results on time, on budget, on scope, and that meet the quality standards as defined by the organization.
  • Develop formalized project plans for each project, including timelines, communication plans and resource assignments, and track project progress against plan.
  • Manage and communicate project risks, establish mitigation plans for each risk, and drive them to closure.
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders as defined in the communication plan to provide progress status, including risks and mitigation plans for each, and progress against the project objectives.
  • Assist stakeholders with conflict resolution, re-prioritization or removing obstacles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 8+ years process engineering experience
  • 5+ years project management experience, with at least 2 years technical project experience.
  • Experience in the health insurance industry is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent meeting facilitation skills.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen).
  • Six Sigma, PMP certification, Agile certification, or related certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Mastery of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Must be extremely well organized and possess the ability to be flexible.
  • Adept at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts.
  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall software development methodology.
  • Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).

Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
  • Less than 5% travel is required.
  • Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key business/departmental meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.

Internal Pay Grade: 13

The starting pay for this role is $102,809 to $133,652 based on skill level and experience in a similar role.
