We are currently seeking a Manager, Client Account Management, to help lead our Client Management team within GeoBlue's Sales Growth Division.
The Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Client Managers (about 5-7 direct reports) across our corporate and student product lines in addition to having individual responsibility for an assigned block of accounts. This management position is responsible for helping to execute the company strategy for customer satisfaction, persistence, profitability and the contribution to sales efforts.

What You Will Do:
- Leverage your management skills to further develop a world-class Client Management team that is focused on delivering superior customer satisfaction, persistence, and profitability, supporting new business efforts
- Drive the retention of your team's customers by enabling your team to overdeliver on our promise of concierge level service
- Manage your own book of business as assigned
- Prepare all renewal submissions, complete benefit and rate comparisons, and communicate strategies with the client for your individual block of business
- Develop and implement strategies related to the markets and accounts served
- Stay up to date on the markets, products, and competitiveness in the industry
- Build and nurture an internal network to resolve escalated client issues quickly and effectively
- Set an example for and coach your team to ensure strong relationships with clients and brokers by being an active presence in the marketplace
- Work closely with the Vice President, Client Management and members of the Sales team to make sure that our products and services are meeting the needs of our corporate customers
- Support the development of new products, services, and capabilities that lead to improved client satisfaction and retention
About you:
- You have a bachelor's degree plus at least 7 years of group life and health insurance experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive either within the health insurance industry or within a benefits brokerage environment
- You have at least 1 year of supervisory experience
- You are willing to obtain an insurance license for the designated insurance line you will be working on within 6 months of your start date
- If you have experience or knowledge in international private medical insurance, that is a plus
- You are acquainted with various underwriting practices including pooling, credibility, reserving and trend
- You have knowledge of key regulatory and compliance issues, such as HIPAA and ERISA
- You have a strong executive presence and effective presentation skills
- You can manage multiple clients, projects, initiatives and associates simultaneously
- You bring solid client service problem-solving skills and can be flexible and adaptable to changes
- You are comfortable working with numbers. Your work is accurate and thorough
- You are a leader who can accept responsibility and be accountable
- You have solid experience working in Microsoft Office suite and web browsers
- We require the ability to travel occasionally for this position
