We are currently seeking a Compliance and Document Control Specialist to join our corporate Legal Team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Policy Development and Issuance and can be fully remote from your home office.
What You Will Do:
As a Compliance and Document Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and producing insurance-related documents and reports to ensure their accuracy and compliance with company guidelines, state, and federal laws, as well as GeoBlue internal policies and procedures. - Write, produce, and post various documents and templates to facilitate the sale of insurance products (Certificates, Policies and Summary of Benefits and Coverage)
- Assist the Sales team with responding to RFPs and produce sample policy documents for prospective clients as needed
- Analyze and ensure that all insurance and related insurance documents meet company standards via the appropriate state guidelines, check lists and other approval processes
- Establish and manage interactions with GeoBlue employees, partners and subcontractors to ensure that documents are properly controlled at all sites and that change control is effective and timely to meet quality standards and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement activities related to the Document Control process, updating existing and implementing new procedures and training for other departments as necessary
- Explain and instruct other departments regarding the application and understanding of insurance document language
About you:
You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus at least 1 year of experience in an office environment managing, creating, and producing documents or related compliance materials. Knowledge of insurance industry preferred. Working with, understanding, and implementing governmental regulatory requirements is also preferred. We also seek the following:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
- Ability to read insurance documents and federal/state regulations to determine the content required to be disclosed
- Attention to detail for proofreading documents and researching state and federal guidelines
- Expertise in Microsoft Office products and other desktop publishing software as necessary to produce documents. Experience with software, such as Salesforce, SharePoint preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills need to effectively work with employees, customers, vendors, and other departments to represent the company and its goals and interests.
- Ability to make decisions and support them with documentation
