Senior Infrastructure Architect

At Genmab, we are building something transformative, and like any strong structure, it starts with a solid foundation. We are looking for an Senior Infrastructure Architect who can act as the bridge between business needs, technical infrastructure, and cloud security, someone who understands the full journey from laptop to cloud.

Your Role

As our Senior Infrastructure Architect, you won't just design IT systems, you will build the roadmap that brings together people, processes, and technology. This role combines hands-on expertise, strategic oversight, and stakeholder engagement to guide how we deliver secure and scalable infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud (Azure, AWS, SaaS).

You will work closely with engineering, business teams, and external partners, helping translate business needs into solid, secure, and future-proof architecture. Think of it as building a house: you will ensure the structure is sound, the plumbing secure, and the tech stack aligned, whether we are expanding an office, moving to the cloud, or enabling a new lab setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead infrastructure solutions across cloud, lab, and corporate systems.
  • Build secure and scalable architectures in Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
  • Translate business and security needs into technical architecture.
  • Be a day-to-day consultant: meet with internal stakeholders (engineers, business, vendors) and guide project decisions.
  • Engage with a fixed list of ongoing projects and support office expansions from an IT infrastructure standpoint.
  • Set cloud governance and security best practices, you will be the one ensuring our structure is sound.
  • Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings to present architecture decisions.
  • Mentor and guide the team, which includes 12 direct colleagues and around 150 consultants.
  • Speak up, whether it's making a case for a solution or explaining how things connect, we value someone who can communicate clearly and compellingly.

Who You Are

  • A true consultative architect, someone who sees the big picture and knows how to bring people together around it.
  • Comfortable in meetings, confident in presenting, and curious enough to ask "why?".
  • Not afraid to challenge assumptions with thoughtful technical arguments.
  • Strong in stakeholder communication - from engineers to vendors to leadership.
  • Well-versed in IT, security, and modern infrastructure topics including SSO, IAM, Zero Trust, IaC (e.g., Terraform), networking, Windows, Azure AD, and SaaS platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of technical infrastructure experience, with a proven track into architecture.
  • Hands-on background, not just PowerPoint-level architecture.
  • Located in Denmark and able to work onsite at our office.
  • Strong experience with cloud (Azure, AWS), SaaS, Microsoft systems, and security architecture.
  • Comfortable bridging technical knowledge with business objectives.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Architect, or ITIL are a bonus.

About You

  • You are genuinely passionate about our purpose
  • You bring precision and excellence to all that you do
  • You believe in our rooted-in-science approach to problem-solving
  • You are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with a broad spectrum of backgrounds
  • You take pride in enabling the best work of others on the team
  • You can grapple with the unknown and be innovative
  • You have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic company (or a strong desire to)
  • You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so!
