Senior Associate - Financial Reporting & Accounting
Genmab is an international biotechnology company specializing in the invention and development of differentiated human antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and other important human diseases.
Role:
This position will report to the Associate Director, Financial Reporting and Accounting. We are looking for a Senior Associate to be part of the global accounting and finance team. This position will be responsible for assisting in a number of accounting and reporting functions including consolidation, external reporting process, financial closing process, SOX compliance and finance system projects. We are looking for a hands-on individual to work with the global finance team and provide accounting services in an effective and efficient manner and identify ways to improve operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual external filings, including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, management's discussion and analysis and XBRL filings
- Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly internal management and Board reporting
- Assist with SOX compliance including documentation and testing of key controls
- Assist with various special projects including finance systems and technologies
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease process times, streamline work processes and work collaboratively with the business
- Working collaboratively cross functionally across various business functions across the organization as it relates to the above responsibilities
- Coordination and communication with external auditors and other outside professionals and consultants related to the above responsibilities
Requirements:
- B.S. or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of finance/accounting experience. Big-4 public accounting and pharmaceutical experience strongly desired
- Strong accounting and financial controls experience
- Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Solid attention to details with capability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated change agility, analytical thinking and ability to develop solutions
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and partnering skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong project management skills; ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams
- Solid technical skills, include excel, powerpoint and automation
- High sense of urgency and ability to identify creative solutions to advanced, time sensitive problems by balancing achievement of corporate objectives with practical considerations
- Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and challenges in a time-sensitive environment

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$76,000.00 - $114,000.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
