Associate Director, HRBP, US Market
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with business leaders to design and execute HR strategies that align with commercial priorities and business growth objectives.
- Quickly learn and understand the US commercialization strategy, competitive landscape, and business drivers to craft tailored people solutions that directly drive performance and retention.
- Roll up your sleeves to drive execution - from idea to implementation - ensuring HR programs are strategic, practical, and embedded in daily operations.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders, helping them lead through change, manage complexity, and build high-performing teams.
- Deliver core HR programs - performance management, talent planning, internal mobility, and compensation - with consistency and excellence.
- Manage sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and alignment to Genmab's values.
- Leverage workforce data and analytics to inform decisions, influence stakeholders, and track the impact of HR initiatives.
- Collaborate with global HR teams and CoEs (e.g., Talent & Culture, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition) to deliver integrated, enterprise-wide people solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the impact of people programs, ensuring HR initiatives drive measurable improvements in business and talent outcomes.
- Support organizational design, change initiatives, and workforce planning to enable business transformation and scalability.
- Represent HR as a credible and solutions-focused partner in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
- 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience as a Business Partner or Generalist, ideally in a high-growth, global biotech/pharma or life sciences company.
- Demonstrated experience aligning HR strategy with commercial business objectives, ideally in a scaling or fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect organizational goals to people strategies.
- A seasoned point of view on common HR challenges, with the ability to advise and influence leaders at all levels - including senior executives - with confidence, clarity, and sound judgment.
- Proven ability to independently deliver high-quality HR support in fast-paced, high-accountability settings.
- Hands-on experience managing complex employee relations and providing practical, people-first guidance.
- Expertise in organizational design, leadership development, and change management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed, global environment.
- Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and project management skills are a plus.
- Professional certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a bonus.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$155,360.00 - $233,040.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
