The Role
The Associate Director, EU Marketing, Solid Tumors will develop and implement brand strategies and execution for Genmab's first commercial launch in Europe, across multiple markets. This critical role will report to the EU Commercial Head and the Senior Director of Global Marketing, and be expected to work closely & collaboratively with Global, EU, country, and cross-functional teams. Success in this role will require strong leadership skills, realizing strategic and tactical synergies, indication leadership, and franchise activities. Overall, he/she will be an important leader on the Marketing team, driving strong partnership with internal & external stakeholders.
Oncology and launch experience required; prior brand marketing experience in a top EU market required; GynOnc experience highly preferred; and a proven record of accomplishment operating in an emerging/developing organization.
This role we want to fill in Germany, Switzerland or France. Candidates with a strong background who live in another EU country are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop and shape key strategies, execute prioritized tactics, and live into the overall brand vision set by Genmab organizational leadership.
- Seamlessly integrate professional promotion strategies into the overall product brand plan.
- Develop and manage detailed tactical plans and develop related content to drive brand and launch readiness goals in EU markets.
- Partner effectively across Brand and Digital Marketing to implement brand campaigns, positioning, and messaging across all brand collateral, including promotion for new indications.
- Partner effectively across Brand, Digital Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Sales Learning & Development, Patient Advocacy, and Medical to implement strategies.
- Effectively translate primary & secondary data into insight-driven decision-making and actionable strategies and tactics to establish and sustain a competitive marketplace advantage.
- Be the face of the Brand team for HCP Peer-to-Peer initiatives, partnering closely with Global Marketing, Field Sales, and Medical Affairs.
- Lead promotional planning and execution for EU regional and national congresses, partnering closely with EU Field Medical.
- Work productively to lead through external agency partners, key internal stakeholders, & cross-functional groups within the Genmab organization to drive performance results.
- Partner with sales leadership and develop clear strategic and executional direction for the EU sales force. Ensure promotional tactics & key messages are executed via sales training & development.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and all key deliverables aligned to brand goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of professional relevant experience required, including in-line marketing experience in a top EU market or on EU regional basis.
- Product launch experience required.
- Oncology marketing experience required, GynOnc experience highly preferred.
- Strategic and creative mindset. Proven track record of brand performance. Ability to translate strategies into actionable tactics with measurable impact.
- Track record of driving strong sales force engagement and execution. Digital and non-personal marketing experience required.
- Fluent business/scientific level of English required. Native fluency in 1-2 European languages highly preferred (German, French, Italian and/or Spanish). Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences, including management teams.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional team members and stakeholders with a "One Team" mentality.
- Experience working in the highly complex, dynamic environment of an emerging organization is preferred. Self-starter with strong initiative, proactive and solutions-oriented, who can function autonomously.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced work environment.
- Resourceful, decisive, and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization.
- Commitment to a corporate culture of innovation, patient-centricity, and compliance.
- Ability to travel within Europe.
