Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
Become a key member of the Electric Drive and Power Electronics System Team, where you will have the opportunity to develop and execute electromagnetic simulations for a variety of high-voltage components, such as Power Electronics, Motors, Inverters, Busbars, and Filters. As an Analysis Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our analysis capabilities in electromagnetic interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for the Electric Drive and Power Electronics System. This position offers the chance to collaborate with talented teams across battery systems, vehicle design, and hardware development, allowing you to make meaningful contributions to the future of electric vehicle technology.

What You'll Do
- Develop models for electromagnetic interference, impedance estimation, and wireless communication using tools like Ansys HFSS, Q3D, Maxwell, JMAG and Altair Feko
- Develop 1D Electromagnetic and Electrical System models using tools like Ansys Simplorer, Saber, Matlab, and Simulink
- Perform Electromagnetic analysis to deliver design solutions which are robust and reliable utilizing optimization and statistical methods when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Propulsion/ Battery System integration engineers, Electrical Architects, and component hardware design teams to ensure system requirements are met, design concepts are evaluated, and development and validation plans are successful.
- Ensure on time delivery of high-quality results.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in EMI and EMC analysis using tools like Q3D, JMAG and Maxwell
- Experience in 1D Electrical Analysis tools like Simplorer, Saber, PSPICE, Matlab and Simulink
- Exceptional understanding of Electromagnetics field theory
- Good understanding of electrified vehicle systems & integration, HV electrical systems, controls, and component development / validation
- Engineering experience in design, analysis or testing of electrical components.
- Understanding and application of engineering theory and principles of operation for electrical mechanisms and rotating machinery
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate cross functionally with multiple teams to drive work forward.
- Ability to create and present information to leadership, peers, customers, and suppliers in a clear and concise manner.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with development and usage of CAE/CAD tools
- Experience with semiconductor devices like IGBT, MOSFET and Diode and modeling
- Experience in CAE analysis of electrified vehicles (BEV, EREV, PHEV, HEV, BAS)
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of statistical methods for design and testing
- Experience in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) method.
