Description
Hybrid: Reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).
- This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.

Within the GM Human Interface Design-Enterprise Studio, our mission is to help GM employees have a better, more productive workday through the use of internal software. Our Enterprise Design team is seeking a talented, passionate and strong visual UI/UX Designer to create employee-facing user interfaces. The ideal candidate with have formal training or degree in visual design as well as experience or training in UI/UX. In this role, you will collaborate with end users, other designers, researchers, software engineers, and stakeholders, to craft highly streamlined, usable, and polished interfaces for our internal customers.

Responsibilities:
- Support the larger Enterprise team with your visual design expertise.
- Support the evolution of the Enterprise Design System
- Create interaction designs and supporting visuals for employee-facing software
- Create design deliverables that communicate your work to leadership, partners, and engineers including sketches, logic and flow, interactive prototypes, wireframes, mockups, and user interface specifications
- Collaborate closely with team members to craft world standard user experiences
- Understand and balance customer needs and wants, technical constraints, design studio expectations, and business objectives to effectively solve challenging design problems
- Work with end users and key partners to identify opportunities to innovate and improve the user experience
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years creating user interfaces and prototypes for web, mobile, and native apps
- BA/BS or training in Visual Design, User-Centered Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or related
- Strong visualization and visual communication skills
- Candidate must provide a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual design, UX expertise, interaction, creativity, and depth of thought.
- Experience incorporating user feedback into the design process
- Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with design systems
- Ability to collaborate with developers to ensure designs can be implemented
- Ability to give and receive critique, and know how and when to defend decisions
- Understanding of the iterative design process, change management, and Agile methodologies

- Experience in advanced visual design principles and practices
- Expert with digital design tools
- Prototyping experience (Software and/or hardware development experience a plus)
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills

Compensation : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
- The salary range for this role is $143,000 - $219,400 USD Annual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
