This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI on a full-time basis.
The Role
GM's Creative Design organization is seeking a dynamic individual for a Training Lab Instructor. This role is an exciting opportunity to develop and educate the user community to help transform the way we develop our products for the future. In this role, you will support many areas within the Global Design organization applying the latest technology with a current focus on Sub-D modeling tools. You will create and implement various trainings to help promote efficiency and competitive advantage by developing these skills within the design center community. All Training materials created will become the property of General Motors.

This role is primarily onsite with some room for flexibility based on our Work Appropriately model.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Together with training lead, identify learning needs through methods such as, client/stakeholder/subject matter expert (SME) interviews, needs assessments, focus groups, and requests from design center employees.
- Design and deliver learning using various methods ensuring transfer of learning, driving practical application, coaching for success, while meeting effectiveness guidelines.
- Ensure learning content is engaging, creative, and innovative while maintaining the instructional integrity of learning
- Drive follow-through on transfer of learning and application of knowledge, skills and capabilities to the job with the goal of enhancing individual and team's productivity and effectiveness, including on-the-job support
- Implement formal trainings, targeted group trainings and virtual trainings
- Create training content as needed including outlines, how-tos, step-by-step and videos.
- Stay current in learning and design trends and advancements to recommend innovative learning solution.
- Participate in innovative technology discussions, testing and process development
- Support 3D Asset Creation via: Consultation, class development & training content delivery

Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 3D Creation tools such as Alias, UGNX & Blender (Core tools)
- 3D Immersive such as Autodesk Alias, VR & Gravity Sketch
- Visualization such as VRED, Unreal & Blender
- Training delivery such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint & Camtasia
- Data Management (PLM) tools such as Teamcenter & D2
