Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Technical Innovation Center in Mountain View, CA three times per week, at minimum.

We are looking for someone who will be a big-picture thinker, excellent communicator, and in-depth problem solver who designs scalable, secure systems for both B2C and B2B businesses. As a trusted digital advisor and respected team leader in the Salesforce ecosystem, you will be accountable for leading enterprise-level architecture discussions, guiding technical strategy, and ensuring system quality, performance, security, scalability, availability, and flexibility.

What You'll Do

  • Drive enterprise architecture strategies and multi-year roadmaps aligned with GM's long-term business goals, balancing global scalability with immediate needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Experience, and other teams to guide architectural decisions and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Define and implement solution selection frameworks emphasizing modularity, standardization, and reuse of existing technologies.
  • Recommend integration strategies, platforms, and infrastructure to support complete end-to-end business solutions.
  • Govern and simplify the IT landscape through architecture governance processes, standards adherence, and roadmap compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance a portfolio of business capabilities and processes, establishing metrics and driving improvements across the Lead-to-Order domain.
  • Develop system strategies including environmental analysis, value cases, innovation planning, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to support enterprise innovation and business continuity planning.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance across IT teams, supporting technical change management, testing, and deployment activities.

Additional Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineer, Computer Science or related field
  • 15+ years of Salesforce software experience
  • 5+ years of architecture experience
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect
  • Salesforce Certified System Architect

  • Higher levels of education (Master's degree)
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $195,000 to $298,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
