Software & Service FP&A Senior Finance Analyst
Description
The Software & Services (S&S) Finance organization supports the evolving OnStar Services, Software/AV Engineering, and Software Product Management teams. The S&S FP&A Senior Finance Analyst coordinates and provides timely and relevant overall consolidated S&S financial analysis, reporting, and review materials leveraging existing and new analytical tools, systems, and methods. A key measure of success is effectively drawing out analytical financial insights that help support leadership in optimizing enterprise profitable growth over the near to long-term horizon. This position is a key integral part of the S&S FP&A Finance team, collaborating closely with one another and a multitude of key stakeholders across S&S Finance and Controllership, Corporate, regional, and other business unit FP&A teams, GBS, and our cross-functional business partners.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Consolidate, analyze, evaluate, and present overall S&S business unit actual and forecast financial results and related performance analysis, including but not limited to fixed costs, staffing/headcount, and functional budget transfers
- Provide effective storytelling and added insights that link financial results and analysis with key enterprise operating strategies and goals
- Plan and coordinate annual S&S Long-Term Plan strategic leadership reviews and financial consolidation/submission
- Engage in ongoing special projects supporting S&S Finance and business partners
- Ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance, and financial procedures
- Maintain outstanding relationships with all key stakeholders, proactively anticipating and supporting them with their requirements
Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics
- 5+ years of finance analyst or equivalent experience
- Strong financial analysis leveraging related technical/tools skills; familiarity with fundamental accounting principles
- High business acumen, strategic thinking, and succinct storytelling
- Ability to collaborate well within a dynamic environment with agility, consistently producing high-quality and timely results
- Innovative mindset finding new ways to leverage existing and emerging tools, systems, and technologies to help team continue driving efficiencies and effectiveness
- Strong organizational skills and ability to initiate and work independently with minimal guidance/supervision
- Lead by example living GM behaviors coupled with commitment to professional/technical development and supporting a positive Workplace of Choice culture
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency with Hyperion planning systems/business processes preferred
