Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to SGMW in Liuzhou, Guangxi full time.
The Role -
- Manage day to day operations while Coordinating activities of all assigned departments
- Coach, train, develop and evaluates employees
- Achieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environmental metrics and achieve budget goals
- Lead through teaching GMS operating requirements and serves as GMS principal lead for regional GMS activities
- Work closely with other departments within and outside of the manufacturing team
- Maintain corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance
- Assist in the forecasting of areas of responsibility
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures while upholding GM's vision, values, and cultural behaviors

What You'll Do -
- Safety:
- Promoting the implementation of GM's global safety actions in all SGMW plants to ensure GCTA (Global Call To Action) is implemented in place.
- Effectively integrated GM China's safety team into SGMW's safety culture and improvement initiatives to enable SGMW compliance with GM global safety regulations.
- Proactively involving in GM China's regular GMAS (GM Audit services) audit and LPS (Loss Prevention Survey) audits in SGMW.
- Quality:
- Fully utilize various GM quality tools to ensure SGMW product quality target is on track by GM and compliance to GM global quality standard.
- Facilitating the adoption of GMS and BIQ systems within SGMW to ensure effective implementation and compliance.
- Responsiveness:
- Ensure the successful execution of the production plan for each SGMW plant, achieving 100% compliance in build and shipment..
- Driving the timely launch of all new projects, ensuring they meet established quality targets.
- Cost / Lean Manufacturing:
- Providing guidance to local manufacturing team in achieving manufacturing cost targets by ensuring the Cost Per Vehicle (CPV) and Cost Per Unit (CPU) align with established objectives.
- Collaborate with China MFG GMS team to effectively integrate GM's lean manufacturing tools in SGMW plants for ongoing cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering or Mechanical related areas.
- Master's degree in related areas or MBA is preferred.
- Proficient in Enghlish writing and speaking with no communication barriers with native speakers.
- 10+ years of Manufacturing plant operations (management) experience in auto industry.
- Familiar with GM safety, manufacturing, and quality systems.
